I want to add effects to my digipak photos to make them look better. I started watching tutorials on youtube on how to for example blur the backgroud of images, change the backround of images and also how to work with layers.
This image shows how i isolated the image of our actors face and blurred the background, this adds the effect to draw our attension to the actors face and makes it good to look at.

Digipak Photos
I decided to include shots from the other location to include in my digipak. Below are those pictures, some are stills from my video which i intended to use prior to filming it, and some and actual pictures i took. For my interior of m digipak, i want to have one image that stretches across all three sides, i have seen this done of professional digipak's and it looked atractive.
Digipak photos
All these pictures i took in preperation for my digipak. I wanted his face in front of a white clear background hence the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th shot. Also additionally, i wanted the shot where the tracks on the cd will go so i left a gap to the left of the artist in the second shot. I have currently taken shots from when we filmed that we might use for our digipak aswell.

Editing on final cut
Here are some screen shots of my timelime in final cut showing my progression in producing my music video and editing.
Above is a screenshot of the shot where i have two images of the actor singing the same line but with different shots and locations. In the music video itself, the image to the right come in later but on the beat. I have cropped both images from the left and the right, and placed them on either side of the frame so we can clearly see both shots of the actors head.
This is a screen grab of my timeline in final cut. It shows all the shots and clips i have taken and how i have placed and arranged them according to the track and also where i want them to be placed. I have placed some clips on top of others so it makes editing easier when i want to cut quickly form one shot anther and also it keeps the timeline more spread out and easier to work with.
This is shot of the editing i did in terms of the color. In my video, there are two locations, one at the london bridge and the other in the drama stage classroom at our school. I have chose to have the clips form our school in original colour and to change to clips from the London bridge to black and white. To do this i have added the effect of colour corrector and i have reduced the saturation all the way down as you can see above, this turns the clip black and white.

Rough Cut Feedback
After having everybody in my class watch my music video i gained some really helpfull feedback consisting of improvments and whats good about it.
The main positive feedback i got was that i used a wide variety and range of shots. Throughout the video, there were tracking, medium, close up shots. Also they also liked the idea of the time lapse i did in video, they thought that was a great idea.
The improvments that i recieved were to add some effects into the video, e.g. colour corector, adjust the lighting and use video filters and transitions. Secondly, there are parts in the song were the lip synching is not in sync, and also there are some parts where the actor is not exaggerating his lips enough to make out what he is saying so i will also have to fix this issue.
Overall, i am happy with the feedback i recieved, i respec my classmates opinions and will take that into account to make my music video better.

Behind the scenes shots
Above are a couple of shots that we took to show the behind the scenes of our music video. The location is in our school in one of the drama rooms. When we found this room it was exactly what we expected. The room at spot lights of different colours which you can see in use in the second pictue. Secondly, the space was big so we could perform all the shots we wanted to for example the 360 degrees tracking shot and medium shots. The lights also had a strobe effect which we used in our video which added a great effect to our visuals.

Digipak Research
The Script's new album, 'Science and Faith'. The front cover consists of a close up of the lead singer with the other members of the band in the background. It looks as though the contrast has been played around with also a bit of saturation. The background as a whole is a scenery of some kind of beach.
On the top right is the band's name in large white writing so it stands out. The close up of danny shows his importance in the band suggesting that he does all the singing and has the most important role.
We can see inside thier is two shots of hands coming together. Which to me symbolises the the 'faith' part of the title as the hands holding eachother shows unity and togetherness.
Here is another digipak i have found. It is from Rihanna's album, 'Loud.' This is very attractive as it is very bright and has vibrant colours. The front cover again is a close up of the main artist. The name of both the artist and album are clearly visible on the front. Inside we can see is again really attractive and it is one picture that is taking up all three sides, which i think is a great idea. I think a long shot with a scenery in the background is a great idea and i want to use it in my digipak.
Lastly, i saw this katy perry digipak. It seems to be following the same trend as the two above. The cover is a close up of the artist and the inside has one whole picuture stretched over numerous sides. All three of these digipaks mainly focus on the face of the artist and capturing it in various shots i.e. medium and close up.
